Ingredients:
15ml sunflower oil
1 onion
1 red cabbage - coarsely sliced
125ml of red wine
4 whole allspice
30ml red wine vinegar
15ml brown sugar
pinch of salt
Method:
Heat the oil in a large saucepan. Saute the onions until they are soft - make sure they don't go brown. Add the cabbage, red wine and allspice. Cover and simmer over a medium low heat for about 20min or until tender.
Add the vinegar, brown sugar and salt. Bring to a boil uncovered until all the liquid has evaporated.
Serve Immediately...
