The protective phytochemicals in cabbage are effective against hormone related diseases such as breast cancer.

Ingredients:
30ml of sunflower oil
1 onion - finely chopped
5ml of caraway seeds
500g of cabbaged - thinly sliced
15ml of rice wine or cider vinegar
pinch of sea salt
2 crispy red apples - cored and diced
5ml of honey
15ml of toasted walnuts
Method:
Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Saute the onions and caraway seeds until the onion is soft.
Add the cabbage, vinegar, and salt. Cover and simmer for 4 minutes until the cabbage wilts. Remove the lid and add the apples and honey. Cook on a high heat for 5 minutes. Stir frequently. When most of the liquid has evaporated dish up onto a serving plate and sprinkle the chopped walnuts.
This side dish is excellent with pork chops or roasted pork. Serve with mashed potatoes and asparagus.
