Broccoli - Curried Gosht

Indian cuisine is one of the healthiest was of cooking. Indian cuisine is generally contains a lot of vegetables, low in fat and salt. Seasoned with lots of herbs and spices which is full of health properties. Although some of their foods are often deep fried the majority of their dishes are a melange of mentally and physically statisfying food.

Serves 4:

Ingredients:

60ml oil
1 large onion - chopped
2 cloves of garlic - finely chopped
500g steak - cut into thin strips
15ml ground coriander
5ml garam masala
5ml chilli powder
5ml hot english mustard powder
season with sea salt
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
250g broccoli florets

Method:

Fry the onion until caramelized, add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the beef and seal on both sides.

Reduce heat and cover and simmer until the meat has produce its own juice and tender.

Add the spices and cook until spices release their fabulous aromas. Stir in the tomatoes, and cook until all the liquid has been evaporated until half.

Toss in the broccoli and stir for a few minutes. Simmer until the broccoli is tender. Remove from heat.

Garnish with a few sprigs of coriander and serve with Basmati or Jasmine Rice.
